The Ram 1500 was just redesigned in 2019, but the 2020 version somehow improved upon greatness, offering a luxurious cabin, comfortable seats, adept handling, and a smooth ride. Perhaps the best new thing that was introduced in the 2020 Ram 1500 was a new engine.
The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel engine is a game-changer for what was already a truly impressive pick-up truck. The 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V6 engine is an 8-speed automatic with E-shifter, and it offers gains in fuel economy, towing, and payload. It is available on any of the seven Ram 1500 model variations: Tradesman, Big Horn, Sport, Rebel, Laramie, Longhorn, and Limited. The EcoDiesel engine is rated at an astounding 10.5 L/100km for city driving and 7.3 L/100km for highway driving. For a full-size pickup truck, the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel offers fuel economy ratings rarely seen even by cars half its size.
