Anyone considering getting a truck with off-roading capability will have the 2023 Jeep Gladiator at the top of their list. It brings the legendary heritage of the Jeep brand with power, performance and best-in-class towing.

Jeep has combined design, technology and safety with the classic rugged Gladiator appearance. With six models to choose from, let’s explore what’s new for the brand for 2023.

Power and Performance

The standard Jeep Gladiator comes with a 3,482 kg towing capacity and a 4x4 payload of up to 775 kg. Each model is equipped with a 4x4 drivetrain, although some have extra off-road capabilities.

All the trims have an 83 L fuel tank. Most models deliver 8.5 L/100 km fuel efficiency on the highway and 10.8 L/100 km in the city. However, it’s an estimated 8.7 L/100 km on the highway and 11.0 L/100 km in the city for Rubicon and 10.4 L/100km highway and 14.3 L/100 km city for the Mojave.

Each model’s capability is enhanced by the front and rear stabilizer bars. In terms of powertrain, either the six- or eight-speed 3.6 L Pentastar VVT V6 engine comes as standard. Alternatively, you can choose the 3.0 L EcoDiesel V6 engine with start/stop technology and eight-speed transmission. The latter delivers 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque.
